America’s Emergency Network, LLC to Deploy ATSC 3.0Advanced Emergency Information, Related Services Nationwide Demonstrating delivery of rich-media alerts to battery-powered receivers at NABShow; AEN Alert works even when cell, power and internet are unavailable…

About Us

America’s Emergency Network will greatly upgrade emergency alerting and disaster recovery information delivery in the U.S. By delivering geo-targeted, rich media emergency alerts AEN Alert will give people the information they need, when they need it, to take protective action as disaster approaches. AEN, leveraging the powerful new technology of NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0 standard), will connect alerting authorities, as well as private clients, with NextGen TV stations, who in turn will transmit alerts to at-risk populations in sharply designed polygons. This will reduce major problems with alerting, including over-alerting and too little information to take action. Because people can receive the AEN alerts, as well as follow up recovery information, on battery-powered receivers sold by AEN an our partners, and because TV stations are resilient with days of back-up power, AEN will create a life-saving, end-to-end solution in emergencies. For added resilience, the receivers will “fail over” to FM radio text alerts if the TV signal is not available.

AEN also is creating AEN-TV. This will be a live, linear reality channel with emergency content from around the U.S. A “wheel” will provide localize information along with the main video feed. Think ‘C-SPAN meets The Weather Channel.’ AEN-TV will leverage AI to select and curate content from among the 2800 alert messages sent by alerting authorities in the U.S. every day! We believe brands like Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, and Generac, as well as insurance companies, utilities, and other suppliers of disaster mitigation and recovery products and services will find AEN-TV a very cost-effective option for reaching targeted markets before and after disaster strikes.

When he founded Adams Communications (AdCom) in 1985, the wireless paging industry was still operating under the Mutual Broadcasting System (MBS) protocol, a closed system. Increasingly aware that cumbersome infrastructure, expensive equipment, and natural monopolies existed in the wireless paging industry, Mr. Adams formed Axcess Global to advocate a worldwide standard for FM broadcast data.
